This Winter's Eve
by Sarah Hart

Celebrate the mystery of the Incarnation with Sarah Hart's first Christmas album!
Capture the spirit of the season
Whether you're looking to enrich worship during Christmas or for something to listen to while wrapping presents with the family, This Winter's Eve offers 12 songs that beautifully capture the spirit of the season.

Enjoy a special appearance by Amy Grant
Featuring roots of Appalachian music, acoustic guitars and mandolin—this intimate record conveys a sense of peace. Friends Justin Loucks and Ian Fitchuk have done a masterful job producing an album that Sarah calls "the most artful I've ever been a part of doing." Providing a memorable moment, Amy Grant joins Sarah on "What Love Has Done," fresh off of their collaboration on the Grammy-nominated "Better Than a Hallelujah."

Return to the love of God
While setting music to "Prayer for This House"—a poem by the late Louis Untermeyer—Sarah remembers feeling the poet's presence so strongly, it was as if they were writing the song together. Written for her husband, "Bethlehem" paints a picture of families gathering at Christmas to return to the love of God. "Epiphany" reminds us that although a season may be ending, we should carry the Incarnation with us throughout the year.

Warm your heart with Sarah's first Christmas album
Sarah loves Christmas. Now, after years of waiting for the right songs, she finally fulfills her wish of doing her first Christmas CD. Close your eyes while listening to the album and you can almost imagine yourself in a mountain cabin, curled up with a warm blanket as snow falls outside the window.

Bio:
Sarah Hart is one of the leading figures in contemporary Catholic music today. Her songs of faith and workshops have touched the lives of thousands. Originally from Lancaster, Ohio, she has a degree in music from Ohio State University. Now based in Nashville, she’s on the road a good part of the year, juggling a busy songwriting, recording, concert and event schedule.

Many of her songs are part of the common worship experience of Catholics in the US: “Go in Peace,” “You Alone,” “Sweet Redeemer” and others. Her signature blend of folk, pop, and rock delights listeners of every age. She has just delivered Sacrament, her 10th collection, which explores what each sacrament means for us as individuals, and as Catholics.

The music from this collection will undoubtedly become part of your worship experience. The songs will also be great additions to the preparation programs for Baptism of Children, First Communion, First Reconciliation, Confirmation, and Matrimony. The music will be especially useful for 'The RCIA'.

Her nine other albums as a solo artist, include Til the Song Is Sung, and Above Earth’s Lamentation. Her songs have been covered by Amy Grant, Celtic Woman, Matt Maher, Jason Crabb, and The Newsboys. Grant's recording of "Better Than a Hallelujah" earned Hart a Best Gospel Song Grammy nomination.
Sarah’s love for music and ministry intersect in amazing ways. Her dynamic energy, sense of humor and deep faith make her events unforgettable experiences. She especially enjoys exploring topics around women’s spirituality and working with youth. She has created four popular retreats for women, as well as intergenerational missions, and diocesan and conference presentations. “Planted, Thriving, Yielding: The Fruit of the Spirit” is the most recent retreat she offers for parish missions. In October of 2013, she was invited to perform for Pope Francis and a crowd of 150,000 in St. Peter's Square.

Sarah lives in Nashville with her husband and daughters
